It always depends on the group of interest.  Like the clojure community is
on slack, emacs on mailing list, reddit.
I like topics about refactoring & legacy code so I know them from
https://www.youtube.com/c/thelegacyofsocrates.
They are very active on slack socrates-conference.slack.com.
