I'd love if tomorrow someone has a personal experience to share about 
tuning the garbage collector :-)

I was investigating if there's any room to improve my startup times 
(which are not bad).

By the way, a friend has swithed to Doom and reports the speed 
improvement from Spacemacs (he was using before) is astounding.
