hey, great that you have sorted it out and thanks for sharing your solution. I might steal it 
because I often forget to run `org-clock-out` ;-)

Meta comment: It could probably help if the blog post has a couple of screenshots of the "before" 
and "after" to help the reader getting some context: you're describing a bit of a niche problem that 
I understand because I was sitting next to you and have a similar setup :)
