Hallo Michael,

I must admit I had bad experiences. What follows was maybe one year ago so I forgot the
details. Maybe things changed since then.
I've tried hanging around on the Matrix channel but I remember it being a place with a very poor
signal-to-noise, not greatly moderated. I also had tried the IRC channel (on libera.chat, IIRC) but
moderation was non-existent as well. Once I've tried reporting an obnoxious user, the IRC channel
moderator (someone well-known in the Emacs community) replied after what was maybe days, excused
themself for being busy and dismissed my report ("I don't see anything sus about that user" - well
of course after so much time).

In general I didn't find a good moderated online space for discussing Emacs in real-time. So, yeah,
for me it's a no-go.
I like hanging around here (excellent people! <3) or in the orgmode mailing list.

Happy to hear from other experiences.

Cheers,
