I've reduced my Emacs config to this

I suggest saving this file in some directory and then run Emacs with:

 emacs --init-dir <some-directory>

to avoid polluting your current system :) Probably Emacs 29.x is required.

Happy to work on that with whoever has some interest at the next meetup!
I don't know where to start or how to organize the work. That will be
part of the fun!
