setting up jitsi recording (https://github.com/jitsi/jibri) should be fairly trivial using NixOS. If you’d like I can look into it and write a nix config.

One downside however is that the whole server would need to be switched to NixOS.

One advantage (aside from the simple setup) is: It becomes quite easy to add additional services if desired. Want an Emacs Berlin IRC server? Done. An Emacs Berlin Gitea instance? Done. A matrix server for video, audio and chat? Done.
