The issue we experienced was that a single Firefox participant degraded
the performance for all the other participants as well, not only for the
person joining themself. I find that very unfortunate as well, but given
the limited capacity of time we had available to look into that,
limiting to Chrome/Chromium was a pragmatic choice.

Regarding the error message, you seem to imply that we actively chose
to write it like that, which is not the case. It's hardcoded in Jitsi
once you limit the optimal browsers list to not include Firefox:

Here's the Jitsi configuration we use:

need to figure out a way to change it. Not sure yet how exactly, I don't
know if it's sufficient to alter the above js file on the server, since
I'm not familiar with the react setup. Feel free to make a constructive
suggestion if you know how.
