[emacs-berlin] State of general-close

Hallo allerseits,

reported some temporarily difficulty at recent lightning talk. After 
some reflection concluded a more serious issue: the whole thing grow to 
a complexity, which isn't reasonable.

Already considered to suggest you a different name, as it's about 
inserting now rather than closing.

After all, think it's wise to go back to the roots here and deliver 
general-closing, nothing else. That will make things more stable and 
reduce maintenance costs.
