For the records, there is also a new Tramp method for accessing Android
devices directly. If you have connected one Android device via USB,
running USB debugging, just open in Emacs "C-x C-f /adb::" and you're
there. The Tramp manual discusses also more sophisticated configuration
for accessing.

You can even run a shell on the Andtroid device, via "M-x shell" or
"M-x eshell".
