Hi Lefteris and Pascal,
Welcome to emacs-berlin! Happy you found us :) Together with Andy and Til
I've started this group to meet some more fellow emacsers, glad it's
working. We now have 19 subscribers to the mailing list, maybe it's a good
time to do another general round of introductions.
My name is Arne, I'm from Belgium but moved to Berlin about two years ago.
I mostly program Ruby and web stuff. I'm currently digging into Clojure a
bit as well, and of course I do some Elisp from time to time.
I suppose you also found our website (http://emacs-berlin.org/)? The source
is on Github so feel free to add to it and send a pull request!
After some deliberation we've settled on the last Wednesday of the month
being our regular meetup day. Last meetup was really quiet, just Florian
and me. We explored the capabilities of org-mode for doing "Literate
Programming" a bit. Maybe I'll prepare a little talk on that for the next
meetup. It was quite interesting, even do I didn't get *that* far (:
The next meetup will be on Wednesday 30 July. It's the day before Euruject (
https://github.com/euruject/euruject), which in turn comes right before
JRubyConf.EU and Eurucamp, so there will be many Rubyists in town. I have a
location in mind but need to check if it's ok.
Hope to see you at one of the upcoming meetups!
Arne
