however, you can request a "friends" price if you don't have

i am willing to help you and tell you everything you need to know
for the assembly. it's pretty easy. i have seen assemblies that
are basically just a group of mathematician friends that called it
math something, and they just sat there and hung out.

I am interested in organising the assembly. I have never been to
C3 but always meant to go at some point (=bucket list). Being
currently unemployed, this year might be the right time to do
so. If organising an emacs assembly also enables me to get a
free ticket I see this as a win/ win.

Only drawback: as I have never attended, I have no clue what
organising an assembly even means. If berber or others can point
me in the right direction I am confident I can get something
done if I am the only volunteer, otherwise happy to share the

false on two levels. from the cccv side and the official
voucher system, it is not (as you imply) any easier to get a
ticket with or without an assembly, since an assembly never
gives you any tickets. also, no, it is in general not "nearly
impossible" to get a ticket.

i am an organizer of a habitat and i have (multiple) super
duper secret voucher sources and i (we) distribute based more
or less on merit. so i am offering to help out if anyone
wants to help me organize this assembly. it can be as small
and "pissig" as we want it to be, i just really don't want to
do this alone since i am doing so much already.
