<p>Hi jman,</p>
<p>I am on the same journey. And once I wrapped my head around the
vc-mode mode workflow I am now happy with it. However, I have very
few needs, working mostly on my own projects. So no fancy
rebasing/merging and such.</p>
<p>If you look at NEWS of upcoming Emacs 31 you will also notice
many new improvements coming to vc-mode. </p>
<p>I will try to stop by tomorrow and discuss in person with you.</p>

Last week I started thinking if I really need magit or if the
built-in vc-mode is enough. I would like to remap my magit
knowledge to vc-mode and figure out an answer.

Can any "bilingual" vc-mode/magit user share their experience and
help me on that?

I like magit but if I could delete a package, that would push
forward the day of my emacs bankruptcy :)
